ETSI launches 3SI initiative for greater inclusiveness

The ETSI Board takes a step closer towards developing its ‘Long-Term Strategy’ to become more inclusive with regard to societal stakeholders. They agreed to launch the ‘3SI Programme’ (Societal Stakeholder Support and Inclusiveness).

The 3SI programme will allow the societal stakeholders, such as ECOS, to hold regular meetings with leading players within ETSI to improve the participation of ECOS and its representatives. ECOS and the other societal stakeholder organisations will also have their identity cemented at the ETSI General Assembly where we will now attend as a pan-European stakeholder organisation with its own seat. Previously, ECOS was required to attend as part of a national delegation. We welcome this first step towards facilitating our participation in the work of ETSI and look forward to participate more effectively in ETSI standards.

The ETSI ‘Long-Term Strategy’ is available here.
